The Viura grapes come from a plot located in an area called Sotés in Rioja Alta, at more than 650 metres altitude with vines that are more than 85 years old in poor and rough soils. The small clusters are concentrated and rich in aromas, with exquisite acidity and a mode- rate level of alcohol giving freshness
The Tempranillo Blanco variety, found in Rioja, comes from a small young vineyard located in Rioja Alta, which brings floral aromas to the blend, along with liveliness on the palate; adding brightness to the Viura.
Verkostungsnotiz
LOOK: A bright, straw yellow colour.
AROMA & PALATE: While there is plenty of butterscotch and vanilla in the background, it doesn’t overpower the attractive notes of mango, papaya and some freshly squeezed citrus. Full-bodied and quite oily on the palate, but the acidity cuts right through the buttery texture.
