CRAFTING AND AGING
D.O.C.a Rioja Vintage Rating: “Excellent”
History: It might have been the heavy winter rains, or the mild summer temperatures that gave way to a healthy and perfectly ripe harvest. Our bottle cellar safeguards the very last Magnum bottles of this exceptional wine.
Winemaking and aging:
- Alcoholic fermentation with a 30 day long maceration period.
- Second fermentation in underground vats.
- Barrel aging (oxidative) in high quality seminew French oak during 48 months.
- Bottle aging (reductive) for a minimum of 5 years prior to release.
- Released in 1995.
COLOR: Intense cherry red with lively rim.
AROMA & PALATE: Without a doubt the most intense and expressive of this decade. Caramelized-fruit notes with hints of cinnamon, caramel and balsamic. Rich mouthfeel with flavors of nuts, raisins and integrated oak. A classic spirit with an elegant and harmonious finish.
Ideal with different cuts of meat and grills and game.
Service temperature. 18ºC. Decanting essential.
