Our Viña Monty Viura Reserva wine has been shaped by rainfall during the vegetative growth period. A late vintage in which vineyard work was essential to balance the load on the vines, promoting proper ripening and maintaining plant health.
It comes from two vineyards
This Viura white wine comes from two estates located over 650 meters above sea level, in the Sotés area (Rioja Alta), on poor, rustic soil. Small, concentrated clusters rich in aromas, with exquisite acidity and moderate alcohol content.

Sweet notes of apple and vanilla, along with white tea and chopped green herbs at the base, with a light touch of chili spice. Rich and broad on the palate, with plenty of yellow apple notes and fine acidity, but this wine needs significantly more time in the bottle to truly reach what should be tremendous potential in two years or more.

Manual harvest and separate vinification of each plot.
Alcoholic fermentation in ovoid tanks at low temperature, where it remained on its lees for 2 months.
This wine undergoes 18 months of aging in semi-new French oak barrels with extra-fine grain and light toasting.
Subsequent bottle aging for at least 20 months.
Lemon-yellow color with golden hues. Clean and bright.
In this highly expressive wine, pastry notes, vanilla, and sweet quince predominate. Persistent and seductive.
Very broad, glyceric, and unctuous on the palate, with very subtle tannins and beautifully balanced acidity. A long and pleasurable finish.
