CRAFTING AND AGING
The aim is to bring back the winery’s top brand, the iconic wine that led the winery to international fame in 1983 when it was chosen as #1 in a blind tasting of France and Spain’s most prestigious wines.
Grapes come from two different plots. One located in Cenicero, Rioja Alta at 440 metres altitude with calcareous soil. The other plot is in Rioja Oriental, near a meander of the Ebro river at 360 metres altitude, a much more Mediterranean climate when compared to Rioja Alta, with a much greater level of clay in the soil
Tasting note
LOOK: A dark red cherry colour.
AROMA & PALATE: A firm and silky red wine with graphite, lead and dark-berry character and just a hint of walnut shell. Medium bodied. Lovely fruit in the centre palate with a long finish.
